IMCD N.V. statement on the COVID-19 outbreak

IMCD is open for business

We remain strong as we work hard to maintain business as usual and support you all in the weeks and months to come.

As the COVID-19 pandemic takes hold in almost every country of the world, we wanted to provide an update on the actions that IMCD is taking to provide continued support to our employees, suppliers and customers. The news headlines make for difficult reading and our number one priority remains the health and safety of our people. In such challenging times, it is heartwarming to see colleagues pulling together as one and making use of technology to stay connected with each other.

For now, the phrase “IMCD is open for business” neatly sums up where we stand. Our people have always been at the heart of IMCD.

Our teams are now working from home through all our locations globally. The near flawless adoption of remote working practices has enabled us to provide a seamless and uninterrupted service to customers and suppliers, despite many of the countries that we operate in taking unprecedented measures to save lives and protect the health of populations.

As well as embracing digital communications and technologies to stay in contact with our partners, we are also pleased to report that all of our operations are working efficiently. As a speciality chemicals and food ingredients distributor, it is essential that our supply chain is undisrupted and that our products continue to be delivered on time. We are continuously monitoring the situation and are providing regular updates to our suppliers and customers.

The additional actions we have taken are the following:

  • Remote working for all our staff.
  • Our technical teams and staff in most of our technical centres are operating in shifts to minimize their exposure to the virus.
  • Frequent communication and updates to all our employees.
  • Continue to train our commercial and technical teams to support our customers and suppliers.
