Resin Technology for the Future
Dianal America, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. Former Mitsubishi Chemical, Mitsubishi Plastics and Mitsubishi Rayon were merged to become Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation on April 1, 2017. Today, the Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has built itself into a leading manufacturer of polymer/resin products, based on strong upstream business complexes - the MMA (methyl methacrylate) and the AN (acrylonitrile) business complexes. As a member of the Mitsubishi Chemical High-Performance Chemicals business complex, Dianal produces coating resins that add value to the inherent properties of objects made from metals, plastics and paper. Dianal products are based on acrylic, methacrylic and styrenic monomers. Dianal coating materials have taken the largest market share in automotive topcoats and repair finishes, which require excellent appearance, durability, and resistance to chipping and acid rain. Increasingly, Dianal resins are being used in hot melt, reactive hot melt and anaerobic adhesives. Dianal resins are also used to improve gloss and adhesion in inks and lacquers.
