HALOX® BW-111 is a low-cost barium phosphosilicate based corrosion inhibitor designed for long-term corrosion protection. It is designed to provide mid-level corrosion protection in light-duty industrial coating and is recommended for use in solvent-based epoxy systems, both conventional and high solids. Recommended loading levels range from 5-10% base on total formula weight for conventional systems and 10-20% based on total formula weight in higher solids systems.

HALOX® BW-191 is an organic surface-treated version of BW-111 also designed for protective primers. It provides mid-level corrosion protection in light-duty semi-gloss primers and is recommended for use in most water-borne systems such as latexes and water reducible alkyds. Because of its lower oil absorption, HALOX® BW-191 can also be effective in anticorrosive solvent-based alkyd coatings. Recommended loading levels range from 5-10% based on total formula weight.

HALOX® CW-22/221 is a calcium borosilicate-based corrosion inhibitor designed for long-term corrosion protection where the use of heavy metals is discouraged. It can match the performance of toxic corrosion inhibitors such as zinc chromate. HALOX® CW-22/221 is recommended for use in primer systems based on traditional solvent based alkyd technology. It can effectively be formulated into such resins as medium and long-oil alkyds. HALOX® CW-22/221 is compliant to ASTM D 4288-83, Specification for Calcium Borosilicate Pigment Type 1, Class A. Recommended loading levels range from 9-15% based on total formula weight with PVC levels in the range of 42-47%.

HALOX® CW-291 is a white, nonrefractive, corrosion inhibiting pigment used in protective coating systems and is recommended for use in based on alkyd technology. It has the lowest oil absorption of the borosilicate products and is specifically suggested for use in high solids, medium gloss topcoats, DTM (direct-to-metal) finishes, and self-priming systems. HALOX® CW-291 is compliant to ASTM D 4288-83, Specification for Calcium Borosilicate Pigment Type 1, Class B. Recommended loading levels range from 5-10% based on total formula weight in primer systems and 2-5% based on total formula weight in topcoat and DTM finishes. PVC levels should range from 40-45% in primers and 15-25% in topcoats and DTM’s.

HALOX® CW-2230 is a calcium borosilicate-based corrosion inhibitor designed for long-term corrosion protection where heavy metals are a concern. It has the highest borate content and can be effectively formulated into such resins as medium and long-oil alkyds, epoxy-esters and modified alkyd systems. HALOX® CW-2230 is compliant to ASTM D 4288-83, Specification for Calcium Borosilicate Pigment Type 2. It has an oil absorption in the mid-30’s range and is designed to provide early corrosion resistance via anodic passivation as well as providing synergy with zinc phosphate based and organic corrosion inhibitors. Recommended loading levels range from 9-15% based on total formula weight with PVC levels ranging from 42-47%.

HALOX® CW-491 is a low-cost, moderate solubility calcium phosphosilicate based corrosion inhibitor designed to provide mid-level corrosion protection in water and solvent-based coatings. It can be used in wash primers, direct-to-metal finishes, 2K solvent-based epoxies, water reducible epoxy esters, polyvinyldichloride resins, and polyesters. HALOX® CW-491 contains no zinc or other heavy metals and therefore has a low specific gravity. It also maintains a neutral pH and can withstand outdoor (real world) corrosion performance. HALOX® CW-491 can replace zinc chromate-based corrosion inhibitors. Recommended loading levels range from 5-8% based on total formula weight for water based systems and 7-12% based on total formula weight for solvent based systems.

HALOX® SW-111 is a strontium phosphosilicate based corrosion inhibitor designed for long-term corrosion protection in high performance resins. It will surpass the corrosion resistance of zinc-based inhibitors without sacrificing in-can paint stability. HALOX® SW-111is recommended for use in most water-borne and solvent-borne epoxies and can be formulated into most water reducible resin systems and corrosion resistant caulks and sealants. Recommended loading levels range from 5-10% based on total formula weight. Synergistic properties have been found [in the areas of corrosion and humidity resistance] when HALOX® SW-111 is used in combination with HALOX® Zinc Phosphate [1:1 ratio] in some water-borne systems.
