More information about HALOX Zinc Phosphate/Zinc Phosphate Complexes
HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is a universal lead-free and chromium-free inorganic corrosion inhibitor designed for water-based and solvent-based coatings. It exhibits a high degree of versatility because of its narrow particle size distribution: upper particle size limit of 20 microns, mean particle size of 5 microns. This pigment has a high degree of versatility. It is a standard corrosion inhibitor for most high performance resin systems such as vinyls, chlorinated rubbers and epoxies. It is recommended for high acid value resins, catalyzed baking systems and vinylidene chloride latexes. HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is also recommended for thin film applications (1 mil or 25 microns). It also can be used in plastic compounding applications as a flame retardant synergist. HALOX® Zinc Phosphate is compliant to ASTM D 6280-98 Specification for Zinc Phosphate Pigment Type I. Recommended loading levels range from 5-15% based on total formula weight.
HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 is a zinc phosphate complex designed to compete head-to-head with standard zinc phosphate pigments. It is specially engineered to contain 80% fewer zinc compounds while providing improved corrosion efficiency. HALOX® Z-PLEX 111 can exhibit a higher level of corrosion protection than commercial zinc phosphate at an equal weight replacement. It is highly versatile and more economical to use than commercial zinc phosphate.
HALOX® Z-PLEX 250 is a universal inorganic corrosion inhibitor designed for water-based, solvent-based, and powder coatings. It exhibits a high degree of versatility because of its neutral pH and narrow particle size distribution with a top end below 20 microns. It is classified as Zn3(PO4)2.2H2O (dihydrate). HALOX® Z-PLEX 250 is compliant with ASTM D6280, Specification for Zinc Phosphate Pigment Type I. Recommended loading levels range from 5-10% based on total formula weight.
