Mistron 353 - Description
Mistron 353 is a high purity microcrystalline talc.
Mistron 353 is used in interior and exterior coating, adhesive and sealant formulations to reduce hard settling; improve sag resistance and maximize prime pigment extension. Mistron® 353 is used in solid color and semitransparent wood stains to prevent tannin bleed and improve gloss uniformity without introducing abrasive characteristics.
Mistron 353 acts as a reinforcing agent to enhance compound performance by increasing film strength and flexibility. Mistron 353 has a platy, hydrophobic structure used in architectural and industrial primers to improve barrier properties which impart corrosion resistance and stain blocking ability.
Mistron 353 could also be used in plastics as a cost-effective reinforcing agent to improve stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability. In rubber, it acts as a dusting/parting agent.
