Sylvares TR - Description

Polyterpene resins are highly compatible with polyolefins and the mid-block of SIS block copolymers so they impart excellent tack and peel properties to pressure sensitive systems. The high softening point grades combine high heat resistance and superior adhesive performance. These resins meet the broadest range of FDA requirements, including direct food contact.  Their biorenewable content is 99%.

More information about Sylvares TR

SYLVARES® TR 7115 is a thermally stable polyterpene tackifier that provides excellent properties to a variety of natural rubber, synthetic resin (such as ethylene vinyl acetate and polyethylene) and synthetic elastomer based adhesives. It may also be used in investment casting applications and as a processing aid for gum mastics. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, terpenes, ethyl ether, and some alcohols. Insoluble in glycols, ketones and most alcohols.

SYLVARES® TR 7125 is a high softening point, thermally stable polyterpene tackifier. It provides excellent properties to a variety of natural rubber, synthetic resin (such as ethylene vinyl acetate and polyethylene) and synthetic elastomer based adhesives. SYLVARES® TR 7125 is compatible with numerous compounding ingredients common to adhesives. SYLVARES® TR 7125 may also be used in investment casting applications and as a processing aid for gum mastics.

SYLVARES® TR A25L is a clear, light-colored, low molecular weight resin. This resin may be used as a tackifier for a broad range of materials, as a modifying resin with other tackifiers to improve specific adhesion to hard-to-bond surfaces, or to improve low temperature properties. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, terpenes, ethyl ether, and some alcohols. It is insoluble in glycols, ketones and most alcohols.

SYLVARES® TR B115 is a uniquely stable resin based upon beta-pinene, which makes it an excellent tackifier for a variety of natural rubber and synthetic elastomer based adhesives. It is resistant to acids, alkalis, salts and water and is compatible with numerous compounding ingredients common to adhesives. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, terpenes, ethyl ether, and some alcohols. Insoluble in glycols, ketones and most alcohols.

SYLVARES® TR M1115 is a uniquely stable polyterpene resin based upon beta-pinene, which makes it an excellent tackifier for a variety of natural rubber and synthetic elastomer based adhesives. This resin is resistant to acids, alkalis, salts and water and is compatible with numerous compounding ingredients common to adhesives. It has a narrower molecular weight distribution, which improves compatibility with some adhesive elastomers. Soluble in aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, terpenes, ethyl ether, and some alcohols. Insoluble in glycols, ketones and most alcohols.
