MERQUAT 281 is an aqueous copolymer that demonstrates ampholytic characteristics. It has excellent stability in extreme pH applications making it ideally suited for use in products. MERQUAT 281 polymer is also recommended for applications as it imparts a smooth, velvety feel; reduces tightness after drying skin and provides excellent moisturization. It contributes lubricity which can help make products easier to apply. Liquid cleansing products acquire richer foam with improved stability with MERQUAT 281. Suggested starting concentration serves only as a starting point when formulating. Optimum performance will vary according to formulation type and desired result.
