POLYMER VS 5000

POLYMER VS 5000 is a vinyl-functional polydimethyl siloxane polymer with a viscosity of 5000 mPas and vinyl content of 0.06 mmol/g. It is used as a base polymer in addition-crosslinking silicone formulations. POLYMER VS 5000 cures by a platinum-catalyzed addition reaction with silicone cross-linkers containing SiH groups. Due to the low content of volatile constituents and the crosslinking mechanism, the curing shrinkage remains low and no volatile or corrosive substances are formed while curing. POLYMER VS 5000 can be used for a wide range of applications in the advanced materials industry by selecting the suitable cross-linkers, catalysts, additives and fillers.
