DYNASYLAN MTMS

DYNASLYAN MTMS is a colorless, low-viscosity liquid that is an important component in sol-gel systems. As a trifunctional alkyltrialkoxysilane, DYNASYLAN MTMS contains three alkoxy groups that are able to hydrolyze and form silanol groups. These silanol groups then undergo condensation reactions to form very stable siloxane bonds. This process allows for the construction of inorganic/organic networks with higher UV stability and flame resistance than traditional resins. DYNASYLAN MTMS can be used to modify prehydrolyzed preproducts formed from other organofunctional silanes, silicic acid esters or aqueous silica sols. It is also possible to construct networks by adding silanes containing organofunctional groups and organic resins, providing materials with improved properties for advanced applications.
